Kho Phi Phi Leh. Phuket, Thailand.

My word! this island. It has got to be one of the most beautiful islands still standing, I kid you not. “WOW” just seems to roll off ones lips. I only realized I said it so many times after I kept hearing the echo of my own voice. Loooved it in Kho Phi Phi Leh, loved it loved it loved it. Locally pronounced as “pee pee leh”.. tickles every time i hear that, ha.

I had many ‘out of this world’ moments at Phi phi, but what stood out the most was the humongous cliffs at Maya beach, no really…I thought I had momentarily been transported out of this world. At first glance the limestone mountains looked like they had just landed fresh from heaven the very instant i laid my eyes on them. To think they have stayed the same from creation till now, wow. Its not easy to come by such unaltered nature in this day and age. And the patches of pure crystal blue waters too, unchanged through decades. Sooo refreshing.

5 am my alarm went off, “oh ,no” I sighed. Not being a morning person, I almost gave up the thought of going on the island tour. I tried to convinced myself a lazy day at the beach around the hotel would do. How glad I am I got out of bed for what the day had in store was worth everything.

  • 7 am. ready for the day and the sun was ready too

  • first stop after a forty five minute speed boat ride

  • what a view

  • wondered around the beach for a while and stumbled upon these rocks.... this was one of my favorite shots

  • and nature continued to amaze, busy coquina spot here

  • this staircase took me back to the flintstones, rustic ya!

  • wild guess, three horse power.. !? it was time to proceed

  • the approach began..

  • green, blue, all sorts of beautiful

  • the walls have life too. the camouflage is intense, don't you think!

  • viking cave. if you ever need some bird nest soup, nests are available here, true story

  • the best kept secret of the island. what a majestic place to be in, I had a halo moment...

  • this is the pure crystal blue water I was talking about earlier

  • just wow

  • Maya Bay

  • last stop of the day

  • it was such a lovely day

  • kob kun kaa (thank you) Thailand.

Amazing Nimu! I have always wanted to visit the Islands in Thailand after watching a movie starring Leonardo Dicaprio- ‘The Beach’ though a horror in my opinion, I thought the islands were breathtaking and probably camera tricks 😀 This blog and the awesome photos have convinced me otherwise..

    Beautiful place. Ahsante nyarma!

Dottie, sooo good to read from you. The islands are indeed beautiful and I hope you get to visit too, no camera tricks at all 😀 If the movie was not a horror I would be on it right away but I scare too easy. Thank you so much Jaber
